How does the Finnish Lapsilisä calculator work?
The Buronia Lapsilisä calculator computes your monthly Finnish child benefit in real time. Three inputs: number of children, single-parent status and residence in Finland.
No sign-in, no data storage. Source: Kela — Lapsilisä 2026.

Frequently asked questions
When does Lapsilisä end? At the end of the month in which the child turns 17.
Do I receive it while working abroad? EU Regulation 883/2004 applies. If you work in another EU country but your family lives in Finland, you may receive a differential payment.
How to claim the single-parent uplift? Apply on a separate form. A single parent is someone living alone with the child, not married or cohabiting.
I'm on parental leave — does it affect this? No — Lapsilisä is independent of parental leave or employment status.
